Z Microsystems Named Winner of TechAmerica High Tech Award

– Awarded for innovation, perseverance and marketplace validation –

SAN DIEGO – October 26, 2010 – Z Microsystems, a leading provider of mission-ready computing systems, today announced that it has been selected as a winner of the 2010 TechAmerica High Tech Award in the category of Computers and Related Products. In its seventeenth year, the annual awards program honors the San Diego region’s outstanding companies for technological innovation, exceptional products or services, marketplace validation, perseverance and community involvement. Z Microsystems’ Any-Image-Anywhere (AIA) received recognition for its innovative ability to enhance and route video images in real time.

Used in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, AIA is an image enhancement and routing system for full-motion video. It combines high performance parallel processing, high speed video switching, and image enhancement algorithms. These algorithms filter out visual distractions, while adjusting contrast and color to aid the eye in focusing on elements of interest. AIA also provides access to multiple views from a single display station and the ability to route video streams on-demand.

The TechAmerica High Tech Awards were held on Oct. 22 and showcased the best of San Diego’s most innovative technology.
