ZMicro Promotes Maryam Afshin to Vice President of Engineering

SAN DIEGO – December 15, 2020 – ZMicro, a leader in rugged computing solutions, today announced the promotion of Maryam Afshin to Vice President of Engineering. In her expanded role, Ms. Afshin will lead a world-class team of engineering professionals in designing and developing innovative rugged displays, workstations, servers, and imaging systems for military applications.

Ms. Afshin joined ZMicro in 2013 as engineering manager where she has been managing simultaneous fast pace projects with overlapping urgencies from concept through product launch. Before joining ZMicro, Afshin was at L-3 Communication—a key partner for ZMicro—where as a project engineer she was responsible for the flat display product line used in airborne, shipboard, ground vehicle applications. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University.
