    We are currently seeking a Production Test Technician I to support our Production department.

    Summary of Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned:

    Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies as needed.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies as needed.
    • Determines and may develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
    • Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
    • Assembles Test setups for a variety of Printed Circuit Boards. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
    • Sets up standard test apparatus or devices, test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional and operational testing to evaluate performance of production Printed Circuit boards.
    • Operates equipment to assemble, dice, clean, mount, bond, and package integrated circuit device.
    • Assemble and rework Printed Wiring Boards that contain both through-hole and surface mount      devices to include size 0402 components. Using a microscope and soldering equipment to class 3 and class 2 specifications.
    • Assists in interpretation and evaluation of processing data and in preparation of related reports.
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.  Ability to calculate or compute ohms law, power, and reactants.
    REASONING ABILITY:
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • High School Graduate or Equivalent
    • Minimum 6 months of electronics technician experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Soldering skills for Surface Mount Technology (SMT). Certification required.

    ZMicro is seeking a qualified candidate for this challenging and rewarding Electronic Tester II position that will perform circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assembly tests.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

    • Set up standard test apparatus or equipment to conduct functional and operational testing for the evaluation and performance of production devices.
    • Operate various diagnostic testing software using PC-aided diagnostic tools on sub-assemblies and completed units to verify product conformance to processing and company specifications.
    • Follow defined procedures for testing assigned product assemblies.
    • Provide manufacturing support to engineering and manufacturing teams for process research and documentation.
    • Recognize and communicates to the supervisor any test difficulties and product faults concisely and promptly.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep of department test equipment and fixtures.
    • Interpret and evaluate processing data to apply to reports, compiling and auditing process documentation.
    • Create reports, charts, and graphs to describe and illustrate faulty characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
    • Assist in writing testing or criteria documents and research for creating such documents to describe in layman’s terms functional and technical characteristics of products for testing.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • A+ Certification or 4 years of Computer Systems Testing and or Functional Testing of computers and related products preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Solid and functional understanding of desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, anstorage devices.
    • Good understanding of Operating Systems including Windows and Linux.
    • Strong English Communications skills are a must.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills are a must.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
    • Proficient written, oral, and computer skills – PC.
    • Good Multitasking skills.
    • Works well in a team environment.

    Salary Range: $51,000-$55,000 annually
