'Intelligent' Displays
Z Microsystems, of San Diego, introduced its Intelligent Display Series with real-time enhanced video. The LCDs use a FPGA for image enhancement algorithms for live video surveillance feeds applicable to UAVs, the company said. The image enhancement algorithm brings out the detail from images degraded by poor visibility or atmospheric interference. The edge detection algorithm highlights details for surveillance and bomb damage assessment. The displays are designed for military environments, including shock, vibration, EMI, temperature and humidity.
