Z Microsystems is seeking an ambitious individual for this challenging and rewarding Assistant Product Test Engineer position. The primary functions of this role will be to perform engineering tests for a wide range of products; including digital displays, ruggedized computers, servers, and other electronic devices.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering test procedures on variety of products under little to no supervision. This function requires following published test procedures and strict adherence to SOP and product conformance to specification.
• Assist Product Assurance Manager with the development of engineering test plans for each product line. This function includes determining and documenting appropriate test criteria in a format that can be easily understood and followed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have working knowledge of laboratory test equipment.
• Ability to setup electronics and other equipment for various tests.
• Must be able to contribute in individual as well as team environments.
• Preferred candidate must be organized and disciplined to ensure accurate reporting and record-keeping.
• Able to follow detailed test procedures and determine go/no-go status of Unit under Test by recognizing non-conformance issues.
• Sufficient understanding of product operation so that potential non-conformance issues not currently covered by the Test Plan are brought to the attention of appropriate engineering and/or Quality personnel.
• Candidate should possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, at both technical and non-technical levels.
• Navigate various operating systems to validate conformance to specifications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor's of Science in related field.
• 5+ years of experience with professional references.
• Preferred candidate must be organized and disciplined to ensure accurate reporting and record-keeping.
• Ability to configure workstations according to the provided specifications. This may include configuring the BIOS, building RAIDs, installing drivers and operating systems.
