Z Microsystems is seeking a qualified candidate for this challenging and rewarding Junior Mechanical Engineer position.

Job Functions:

• Responsible for the accuracy of designs and the quality of the final detailed part drawings.
• Create parts, assemblies, and detail drawings under the direction of project engineers.
• Collaborate and interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Work with the production department to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
• Communicate and handle technical information for spare parts lists, engineering change orders, and user manuals.
• Multi-task efficiently between various projects and successfully meet aggressive timelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 1-2 years of internship or work experience.
• Candidate should be familiar with SolidWorks and other 3D CAD platforms.
• Ability to read/understand multi-tiered/modular assembly drawings.
• Ability to read/understand hierarchical Bills of Materials.
• Outstanding verbal and written English skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with 3D CAD based design (Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.)
